Louisburg ZIP code and areas we cover
We work across Louisburg and the surrounding rural roads in ZIP code 66053, including:
- The older homes around downtown Louisburg along Broadway Street and the side streets near it
- Newer subdivisions on the edges of town, close to the US-69 corridor
- Acreages and farmhouses on the county roads around town, such as 263rd and 271st Streets, Rockville Road and Mission Belleview Road, where a house often shares the property with a barn, shop or outbuilding
Louisburg is not a big-city job site, and we don't treat it like one. Long driveways, gravel approaches, septic fields and soft ground after rain all affect where a dump trailer and a material drop can go. We sort that out with you before the crew arrives, so the trailer isn't parked on your lateral lines or your lawn after a wet week.
Nearby, we also cover Spring Hill, Paola, Olathe and Overland Park.

Louisburg is a city of its own inside Miami County, and permit rules differ for homes inside city limits and for rural homes out in the county. Before we schedule, we check what applies to your address. When your job needs a permit, we apply for it and schedule any inspections.
Louisburg storms in 2025 and 2026
These are National Weather Service (Kansas City/Pleasant Hill office) storm reports for Louisburg and the nearby Miami County roads, as logged by the Storm Prediction Center. Times are Central.
- September 6, 2026 (about 9:30 PM): quarter to half dollar-size hail in Louisburg, a trained spotter's estimate of winds briefly in the 60 to 70 mph range with branches down, and a downed tree and wires near 7th Street.
- July 4, 2026 (about 12:10 to 12:20 PM): wires down and power outages in Louisburg, a large tree across the road near 271st Street and Mission Belleview Road, and a large tree split at a home southeast of town.
- April 15, 2026 (about 4:50 to 5 PM): golf ball-size (1.75-inch) hail 4 miles north of Louisburg and 1-inch hail 3 miles west. The same storm dropped hail up to 4 inches in Paola and damaged homes in Osawatomie.
- April 13, 2026 (about 8:35 to 8:45 PM): uprooted trees and limbs down north of Louisburg and downed trees and wires near Rockville Road, from the same storm that produced a tornado near Hillsdale and damage in Spring Hill.
- May 19, 2025 (about 4 PM): a 65 mph gust measured in Louisburg by a National Weather Service employee, with downed trees and wires in and west of town.
Hail in the 1 to 1.75-inch range can bruise shingles and dent vents, gutters and metal outbuildings without causing a leak right away. Wind in the 60 mph range tends to lift shingle tabs and ridge caps rather than tear off whole sections. If your roof hasn't been checked since one of these storms, a free inspection will tell you where it stands.

Why roofs around Louisburg take a beating
Much of the land around Louisburg is open farm ground, pasture and acreage. There are fewer buildings and tree lines to break the wind than in Overland Park or Olathe, so a storm line coming across Miami County hits a lot of roofs at full strength. Older homes in town often sit under big, mature trees, so the same wind that only lifts shingles out in the county can drop limbs on a roof in town.
Many Louisburg homes have more than one roof to think about. A house, a detached garage, a shop and a barn may all have taken the same hail. If you're dealing with a storm, tell us about every structure on the property so we can look at all of them on the same visit.
What we check on a Louisburg roof
- Shingle seal strips, ridge caps and edges, where wind gets under first
- Hail bruising on shingles, plus dents on vents, gutters, downspouts and window wraps
- Impact marks and cracked decking where limbs came down
- Flashing around chimneys, walls and skylights
- Attic ventilation and any signs of moisture or past leaks
You'll get photos of what we find and a written scope with Good / Better / Best options, including Malarkey Class IV impact-resistant shingle options on Better and Best. For a town that sees hail as often as Louisburg does, impact-resistant shingles are worth comparing in your scope.

Insurance claims after a Louisburg storm
Not every storm is worth a claim. We'll show you what's actually on the roof, and if the damage is real and your deductible makes sense, we can meet your adjuster on site and walk the roof with them. If the damage is minor, we'll tell you, and you can decide whether a repair makes more sense. See claim vs retail for how we think about it, and insurance claims for how the process works.
Planning a roof replacement in Louisburg
Many homes around Louisburg are ranch homes and farmhouses with long, simple rooflines, while newer homes in town often have steeper roofs with more valleys. Either way, we price your options side by side in your scope. Financing for qualified homeowners: $0 down, 1 year no payments, no interest, subject to credit approval. See our workmanship guarantee for what our craftsmanship warranties cover.
Repair or replace your Louisburg roof
If the damage is in one spot, such as flashing, a pipe boot, a few missing shingles or a lifted ridge cap, a repair is often enough. See roof repair in Kansas City for how a repair visit works.
If hail or wind damage is spread across the roof, or the roof is simply worn out, a replacement is usually the better spend. See roof replacement in Kansas City for our Good / Better / Best options with 5, 7 or 10-year craftsmanship warranties.
