Innovative Roofing's craftsmanship (workmanship) warranty is our promise about how we installed your system — not a manufacturer product warranty and not storm insurance. On retail Good / Better / Best packages, we stand behind our installation for the years on your package. Your written proposal and closeout packet control the exact terms.
What we cover
Covered by Innovative Roofing
- ✓ Leaks or failures tied to how we installed the roof (flashing, fastening, underlayment, penetrations, valleys, drip edge) within the warranty period
- ✓ Correction of our installation mistakes that keep the system from performing as scoped

- ✓ Workmanship on related scope we installed for the craftsmanship term on that written scope
- ✓ Roof-system leak repair tied to our workmanship above the deck — not interior paint, finishes, furnishings, or personal items
What we don't cover
Outside our craftsmanship warranty
- • Storm damage, hail, and wind damage (any severity), plus fire, lightning, flood, tornado, or other acts of God — not covered under the craftsmanship/workmanship warranty (insurance / claim path)
- • Manufacturer product defects, shingle manufacturing issues, or material limits — those sit on the manufacturer warranty
- • Normal weathering, color fade, algae / staining, or cosmetic aging
- • Damage from clogged gutters, ice dams from poor attic ventilation you control, foot traffic, or work by others after we left
- • Structural problems in the home, decking rot we did not create or were not hired to correct beyond the written scope
- • Lack of reasonable homeowner maintenance, abuse, or alterations to the roof after install
- • Interior damage such as paint, drywall finish, furnishings, or personal items — our craftsmanship warranty covers roof workmanship only (the roofing system above the deck), not interior finishes or contents
If you sell your home
- IR craftsmanship warranty is transferable one time with written notice within 30 days of selling or transferring the home (subject to inspection — same terms as your certificate).
- Extended manufacturer warranty (only if purchased for your job): transfer it within 30 days of sale on the manufacturer's website. Terms vary by brand; Innovative Roofing does not control manufacturer portals — the homeowner or buyer updates the transfer there. Manufacturer's own terms govern. If you did not buy extended manufacturer coverage, only the IR craftsmanship warranty needs to be transferred within 30 days.

- Manufacturer terms apply. Material warranties are set by the manufacturer for each product line. Coverage, length, and conditions vary — your closeout packet and the manufacturer are the source of truth.
- Registration may be required. Some manufacturer warranties need registration. We help homeowners understand what’s needed; eligibility depends on the manufacturer’s rules and a qualifying install.
- Craftsmanship ≠ manufacturer product defect. IR craftsmanship covers our workmanship under your package or repair scope. Product defects, weathering limits, and material exclusions fall under the manufacturer warranty — not the same promise.
- Interior damage is not craftsmanship coverage. Paint, drywall finish, furnishings, and personal items are outside our workmanship warranty. Keep your roof in shape
INNOV8V Membership includes yearly tune-up visits: we reseal pipe boots, seal exposed nails, clear debris and gutters, and send you a photo Roof Health Report. It helps keep your roof in good shape; it doesn't extend or change any craftsmanship or manufacturer warranty.

- Does storm or hail damage fall under craftsmanship warranty?
- No. Storm damage, hail, and wind damage — along with fire, flood, and similar sudden events — are not covered under the craftsmanship/workmanship warranty. They follow the insurance / claim path. Call us and we will help sort craftsmanship vs manufacturer vs claim.
- How do I request warranty service?

- How do I activate my craftsmanship guarantee?
- Go to /warranty/activate, enter your name, job address, and email. We activate the guarantee, email a filled PDF certificate, and give you a reference number. A review is optional and never required to activate.
- What if I sell my home — how do warranties transfer?
- Innovative Roofing's craftsmanship (workmanship) warranty is transferable one time with written notice within 30 days of selling or transferring the home (subject to inspection — same as your certificate). If you purchased an extended manufacturer warranty, that coverage must also be transferred within 30 days of sale on the manufacturer's website (terms vary by brand; IR does not control manufacturer portals). If you did not buy extended manufacturer coverage, only the IR craftsmanship warranty needs to be transferred.
